Don’t you love chocolate chip cookies? Chewy or crispy they are always delicious. The chocolate chips which embedded between the dough take your taste buds through a wonderful journey. So would you like to learn how to make them from scratch, without having to buy them from the store?
It might sound like a lot of work to make your own chocolate chip cookies, but I can teach you how to make them with just five ingredients. In fact I just made these yesterday and they are one of the simplest foods I have ever baked.
So let’s get started…
First gather your ingredients. All you need is self raising flour, sugar, butter, vanilla essence and a bar of chocolate. Add two cups of flour to a large bowl. Add one and a half cups of sugar to the flour. Mix the flour and sugar together. Add a stick of melted butter to the flour and sugar. Mix all of them together till they form dough – use your hands if necessary. Add two and a half teaspoons of vanilla essence and mix it into the dough. Chop the bar of chocolate. You can use a chocolate chips if you prefer them. I prefer chopping a bar of chocolate as you get chunks of chocolate in you cookies. Add the chopped chocolate to the dough. Mix the chocolate chips into the dough – use your hands if necessary. Once the dough it read, take a small bowl like the above one. Add a bit of the dough to the bowl. Flatten the dough into the bowl using your fingers – use the bowl as a mould. Once you give it a round shape you can remove it and place it on a greased tray. You can also directly flatten it on the greased tray with your fingers instead of using a bowl. Place this tray into an oven which has been preheated to 200 C and bake for 15 minutes. Remove them from the oven after 15 minutes and cool. Enjoy them plain or with some milk. Hope you enjoyed baking and eating cookies these cookies. Have you baked cookies before?
