5 Penguin Books Children Should Read

Penguins are cute little animals that you just want to cuddle and play with. Who doesn’t remember Pingu the Penguin? This tiny and adorable penguin with its cute sounds made penguins even cuter. The fact that they are birds that can’t fly but can swim and can walk on two legs just like human beings makes them even more interesting.

The Movie Mr. Poppers Penguins was just released last month (hasn’t yet been released in the UK though), the story for which has been adapted from the book with the same name, which made me want to make this list of children’s Penguin books. The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling - Book Review

Ages 9 and up

148 pages

Indian forests are one of the best forests in the world. They are full of trees, shrubs, and animals like bears, wolves, panthers, deer, tigers and snakes and this is where the Jungle book is based.  Rudyard Kipling couldn’t have chosen a better place to base a story about a baby lost in a forest.

A baby’s a lost in the forest and instead of being hunted by the dangerous animals out there, he’s found and raised by a family of loving wolves, Baloo the bear, Bagheera the panther and Kaa the python. This baby grows up to be a boy named Mowgli. Mowgli spends all his time in the forest playing and hunting with the wolves and the other animals. He also goes through amazing adventures with them.

7 Panda Books Children Should Read

At the moment Children’s panda books are in great demand because of the release of the movie Kung Fu Panda 2. Both the first and the second Kung Fu Panda movies performed really well. Even if it wasn’t because of the movie, pandas have always been lovable cute creatures. They are chubby, cute, fluffy and soft creatures. All you want to do is hug their soft bodies and give them a kiss.

They are also the animals that represent the WWF (World Wide Fund) which is the largest animal conservation organization.
