Shrek is an Ogre, who lives a solitary life in a swap. He enjoys living his solitary life in the swamp, until he is joined by many fairytale creatures like The Big Bad Wolf, The Three Little Pigs, The Three Blind Mice and Donkey in his swamp.
After finding out that it was Lord Farquaad who was responsible for driving the animals into the swamp, Shrek sets off on a journey to Lord Farquaad’s palace with Donkey. On reaching the palace he sees a tournament being conducted, the winner of which will get the opportunity to rescue Princess Fiona who is trapped in a castle which is protected by a dragon. Princess Fiona is a Princess who Lord Farquaad plans to marry, as a magic Mirror tells Lord Farquaad that marrying her will make him a true king.
Shrek ends up taking part in the tournament and manages to defeat all the warriors. Lord Farquaad then appoints Shrek to help him rescue Princess Fiona. Shrek agrees to rescue Princess Fiona for Lord Farquaad, after he promises that he will remove all the fairytale creatures from his swamp if Shrek manages to accomplish his task of rescuing the princess.
So, Shrek, joined by the talkative Donkey, sets off on a journey to rescue Princess Fiona from the castle guarded by the dragon…
This is one of the greatest and most entertaining animated movies ever. It’s an action packed movie which has been perfectly mixed with comedy. Everything from the voice to the animation of the various characters has been made perfect. It can be enjoyed by both children and adults.
This movie will make you love ogres. The movie teaches you that you shouldn’t judge people by their appearance or by their first impression.
It shows that you need to spend time making decisions and understanding people. As you get to know people better when you spend time with them, rather than making harsh quick judgements.
