A few days ago I came across this fantastic video of a marriage proposal on Youtube. In this video Isaac Lamb, an actor proposes to his girlfriend, Amy, a choreographer, with help from than 50 friends and family. The video starts off with Isaac Lamb’s brother asking Amy to sit in the back of the car and to put on the headphones. She puts them on and starts listening to the music that’s being played.
I have just made my children’s book “Living With Ogres” free on Smashwords. All you will need to do is visit this link to download it for free. I am not sure how long I am going to leave it free for – more details on that will be provided later.
If you’re a football fan, especially of the Barclays Premier League, you would have spent Sunday watching the last day of the season when all the games kicked off at the same time (3:00 PM UK Time). There was a lot at stake on this day – there was the close competition between Manchester United and Manchester City for the Barclays Premier League Title as they were both level on points. Tottenham tried to go past Arsenal and gain automatic champions league qualifying by finishing third and Newcastle tried to go past Tottenham and qualify for the champions’ league qualifying round.
There was the relegation battle between Bolton and QPR and the competition between Everton and Liverpool to be the top club in Merseyside. But as expected the main focus was on the tussle for the title between Manchester United and Manchester City. Both teams were level on points but Manchester City had a better goal difference hence they were on top.
A few days ago I read an article on Mashable, “What to do When a Potential Employer Asks For Your Facebook Password” by Tony Morrison – this article was in response to the article “Job Seekers Beware: Employers May Ask to See Your Facebook Account” by Alissa Skelton. Here Alissa points out how employers are requesting potential employees to give them their facebook usernames and passwords at job interviews.
I think this is very wrong and a complete misuse of power. What will the employer gain by looking at the persons profile – will they find out more about their personal life, what they do in their free time, what sort of pictures they have on their profiles, etc. How will their company gain from this information?

Jack the homework eater is my latest book. I have been working on it for about a month now. The idea had been percolating in my mind and I was finally able to put my thoughts on paper.
